Djezna's Stalker and An Honest Mistake recently wowed the YOUTH 10' crowd with their energetic performance. Although their slot was at 2pm under the baking hot sun, many stayed to brave the heat, just to see their favourite bands perform.

We managed to catch up with the members of the two bands for a short interview after their superb performance. Djezna's Stalker's members comprise Ahmad (vocals and guitar), William (lead guitar), Wang (drums), Jermyn (guitar), Jugs (bass), while An Honest Mistake's band members are Darren (vocals and guitar), Leonard (lead guitar), Kevin (drummer), Sheryl (vocals), Kevin Cottie (bass), and Danny (violin).

Our interview with Djezna's Stalker

Malaysian Today: Hi guys, great performance. We see some new faces in your band...
Djezna's Stalker: Yes, we were a three piece band before, Now we have Jermyn on guitar, and Jugs on bass. We are complete now and we feel better than ever.

Q: You played some new songs during your performance. Is there an EP coming up in the near future?
A: Definitely! Songs you heard earlier were I Miss You, Ahmad, Liar and Uninspired. We are in a midst of compiling all our self composed tracks. God-willing, our EP will be released sometime in the second half of the year. We have our fingers crossed and hope all could give time to listen to our latest tracks.

Q : Uninspired was one of the best tunes during your performance. The lyrics seem to hold some sort of message. Care to share?
A: The number was actually written with a twist. Well, you could say we've had our share of uninspiring moments, including times when we were put down, by particular individuals or groups. So, we've taken this as a challenge to prove them wrong.

Q:  Please tell us about the bandana that each of you carry on stage. Does it represent something to you guys?
A: This bandana's represents different individuals coming together in a group.  You could say that it's like the band's signature style.

Q : Now our final question, could you complete this line for us, "We Are The Malaysian YOUTH and we would like to change ... ?
A:  The music culture and to broaden the minds of people into accepting more different genres of music. Should we be fortunate enough to do well in this industry, we would like to be a part of the catalyst for change and help others further their talents, irrespective of the genre they have adopted.
