    Global Sound Masters

Music Conference Asia (M.C.Asia) Music Factory "The Creation" held on January 23 at KL Live Centre had successfully attracted Electronic Dance Music enthusiasts to congregate under one roof and participate in a one-of-a- kind workshop presented by two of the world's top 50 DJs and producers.
Richard Durand of the Netherlands spoke on the "Elements of a great production" where he dished out advice on how to stand out from your competition and find inspiration for new materials.
On the other hand, Sean Tyas from USA with his trusty Mac complete with a ready made tune, proceeded to give a step-by-step tutorial on adding finishing touches to a trance beat. He accomplished it by incorporating; side chains, hi hats, percussions, snares, claps and filters and a whole range of other music effects.
By the end of the session, it seemed as if a track was ready to be produced. But, according to Sean, "A track is never done. You can still do much more, play around with it and you will amazed with yourself because more often than not, the tracks just keep getting better and better"
With the seriousness out of the way, the Appreciation Party began at 8 pm. Local DJs such as Popcorn Perky and Ian Ross together with Singaporean DJ Effen worked the crowd up into a frenzy before making way to the maestros of the night - Durand and Tyas.
The crowd was treated to a night of pure auditory exhilaration pumped up with cutting edge tunes, exclusive reworks, slick mixing and outstanding technical wizardry behind the decks.
If you missed this edition of Global Sound Masters, the finale titled 'The Summit' will be held in March. Just try not to miss out on this spectacular event again. Pre-book your tickets now at www.visitmcasia.com
